 Chinese Wushu Academy UK is going to hold the 1st Dan Grading on the 2nd December, 2007 (Sunday) at 11am – 3pm. On the same day, there will be fantastic Shaolin Gongfu Performance. For more information about the Grading, please check the Classes & Fees section for Grading content.
 

INTERNATIONAL SHAOLIN GONGFU PERFORMANCE TEAM was established in 2005. The members are mainly fighting monks from Songshan Shaolin Temple and some excellent members from CHINESE WUSHU ACADEMY UK. They all have exquisite skills. Some members had attended the performance of a big stage drama --- SHAOLIN WARRIORS and had been invited to perform in more than 20 countries and regions in the world representing Shaolin Temple. Since establishment, it has been given brilliant performances in many important occasions and have received compliments from the audiences and media, e.g. Hongkong Horse Racing competition, Lord Mayor's Show, Chinese New Year. We have been interviewed by BBC Radio station, Sing Tao Newspaper, Bridge Newspaper, etc.

Shaolin Quan

Weapons
Shaolin form --- Luohan fist, Tongbi quan, Drunken fist, Liuhe fist, Mantis fist, Dog fist, Eagle's Claws fist, Shaolin Children's form, 2 people's fighting ,etc
Shaolin 18 weapons, Damo sword, Shaolin pole, 7-section whip,3-section pole, Shepherd's Whip, Shaolin broad sword , 3-section pole vs. spear,
Qigong: Baduanjin, Hard qigong (breaking steel on head, breaking sticks all over body)
Group: Luohan short fist, Lianhuan fist,

Taiji:                                     

Chen style Taiji quan, Yang style quan.

Dragon Dance           
 

(group performance, minimum 13 people)
Traditionally the Chinese use dragon dance as a symbol of auspiciousness to mark key dates such as Chinese New Year or the opening of a new business premises.
Lion Dance                          
(group performance, minimum 2 people)                
Lion Dance was used to scare away the beast by people disguised as a lion and also the noise created by the villagers banging on they're pots and pans. It is thus seen as cleasening your property or business of any evil or bad spirits for the forthcoming year.
Dragon dance and lion dance are suitable for many types of events, all year round and not just Chinese New Year.
